is an acclaimed figure painter born in Baoton, Inner Mongolia. Yang studied art in Beijing, and graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1982. He was then chosen to be a lecturer in the Oil Painting department of the academy in 1984, where he currently holds a position as associate professor. Yang is a master of Chinese Realism, and his wife is a popular subject of his paintings. He paints primarily in oil with Leonardo da Vinci (Italian, 1452-1519), Albrecht Dürer (German, 1471-1528), and the European classical style being the most profound influences on his work. Yangs paintings are precisely painted with excellent compositional harmony, and photorealistic sharpness. He has won multiple national awards for his art, and been exhibited at such institutions as the China National Museum of Art and the Jiangnan Museum of Art, Wuxi.
